Have you ever heard the question: How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? The realization that more of life lies behind than ahead causes some people to panic. The “midlife crisis” simply represents a crisis of identity, of significance, and of purpose. God built us for those things—but also offers the solution for those longings. Our problem comes when we try to find solutions to those longings in things that merely occur in these short years of life. We've all seen it:

- The lady who wears tights at the gym to cover up her varicose veins and stretch marks.
- The middle-aged executive who gets a tattoo, liposuction, and an Amazon subscription plan for Gray Away.
The coming "Antichrist" will play into humanity's fallen nature that desires to find significance apart from Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation speaks of the Antichrist as the "beast":
“All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. If anyone has an ear, let him hear.” (Revelation 13:8–9)
The book of Revelation is full of enigmatic and symbolic images, and their interpretations require the rest of the Bible to understand. But this much is plain enough. The culmination of all world history—both past and future—will climax in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to earth. He will bind Satan and bring justice and He will reign on this earth for one thousand years—fulfilling all the promises made to Israel. It’s the goal of the Bible and it’s the goal of history.

Meet Wayne Stiles
Dr. Wayne Stiles has served in full-time Christian ministry for more than 30 years, effectively using video, writing, teaching, and music to creatively communicate the life-changing truths of God’s Word.
A veteran traveler to Israel, he has taught and written extensively on the devotional benefits of the Holy Land on his popular blog, in his books, as well as in dozens of articles. Wayne earned his master’s and doctoral degrees and served in the pastorate for 14 years and as a non-profit executive for 12 years. Wayne has helped lead many tours to numerous biblical sites in Israel, Jordan, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Italy. Wayne and Cathy have been married thirty-two years and have two grown daughters.
